2012 a banner year for PH economy

Macroeconomic indicators all point to a Philippine economy that is, finally, about to take off. However, the gulf between rich and poor, already made unbridgeable by decades of failed government social equity programs, has continued to widen further. Unemployment and underemployment statistics indicate that the economic growth in 2012 was not as inclusive as the government economic team planned it to be.
